This is one of the most famous Sheffield patterns with a long history. The lambfoot blade with its straight edge is popular with farmers and amongst its other uses is the trimming of lambs' hooves!

The Barlow pattern pocket knife first appeared over 200 years ago and has been made in Sheffield ever since. It was even mentioned in Mark Twain's "Huckleberry Finn."

This is the classic single lambfoot blade version with a long nickel bolster and a handle tapered to the bolster end.

Lamb Foot pocket knife with decorated backspring

This knife shows the true craftsmanship of the Sheffield knife maker. Stag horn handles show off the file worked brass liners and traditional pattern work back spring. Nickel silver bolsters and a jimped back on the blade which in turn has been ground to an elegant point then highly polished.

Ettrick pattern pocket knife

One of our best-selling pocket knives. The Ettrick started life as a small gutting knife, reputedly designed by the Earl of Wharncliffe and his gamekeeper! Due to its comfortable handle and short blade it has since become a great general purpose pocket knife, easy to carry and particualrly popular among wood workers and wood carvers. It is also often chosen as a first pocket knife for a young person.
